Booking & Payments

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your yacht charter reservation with Charter Bahamas.

• The payment guarantees your reservation and includes:
  • The charter fee.
  • First and last night’s docking or mooring fees at Hurricane Hole Marina.
  • Insurance for the yacht and the passengers (civil liability).
  • Dinghy
  • Water Toys

• The following are not included and are the responsibility of the guest:
  • Cancellation insurance and private insurance.
  • Docking or mooring fees during the charter nights (excluding the first and last nights).
  • Airport transfers.
  • Personal expenses.
  • Any applicable re-positioning fee based on guest request (please inquire).
  • Crew gratuities, recommended at 15% of the total charter fee.
  • Fuel.
• All rates are subject to:
  • 4% Bahamas Cruising Tax.
  • 10% VAT.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing (email is preferred) and will not be considered valid until a confirmation email is received from Charter Bahamas. The following cancellation fees apply:

• More than 60 days before charter start date: Full refund minus a processing fee.
• 30 to 59 days before charter start date: 50% refund of the total booking fee.
• 15 to 29 days before charter start date: 25% refund of the total booking fee.
• Less than 14 days before charter start date: No refund will be issued.

Please note, cancellation and refund policies are firm to ensure fairness to all our clients and to facilitate the smooth operation of our charters.

Safety and Conduct

For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, compliance with all safety instructions from the crew is mandatory. The captain has full authority to modify itineraries for safety reasons. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in termination of the charter without refund. It's important that all guests follow the crew's instructions at all times.

Limitation of Liability

Charter Bahamas is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or losses sustained by guests onboard, during excursions, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Guests participate in all activities at their own risk.

Equipment and Gear

All necessary equipment and gear for your charter are provided and have been selected to enhance your experience. Guests are responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment or gear during their use.

Weather Conditions

Charters are subject to weather conditions; however, Charter Bahamas will make every effort to ensure your experience is enjoyable and safe. Weather-related cancellations are at the discretion of Charter Bahamas, and in such cases, we will offer rescheduling options.

Alcohol and Drugs

Responsible consumption of alcohol is permitted. Illegal drugs or substances are strictly prohibited on board. The captain reserves the right to terminate the charter without refund if any illegal activities are detected.

Governing Law

This agreement and any disputes arising under it will be governed by the laws of The Bahamas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Amendments

Charter Bahamas reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Current policies are always available on our website.

Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collected during the booking process is used solely for the purpose of processing your charter and is not shared with third parties, except as required by law. For more details, read our privacy policy.
